ReadMe115.txt 12-16-2009 This ReadMe file is updated for the latest MSA Software, version 115. It has significant improvements over version 114. There are no hardware changes required for the new version 115 software to operate. However, to take advantage of the new 2G Band operation, the MSA hardware must be re-configured for 2G Band paths. Due to changes in version 115, some items of previous software will be deleted. Depending on how you will use the MSA Software, go to the appropriate section: If you are installing MSA Software for the first time, and will use it with Liberty Basic, perform the prodedures in Section I only. If you are installing MSA Software for the first time, and will use it as an Executable (no Liberty Basic), perform the prodedures in Section II only. If you are upgrading MSA Software from Version 114 to Version 115, and will use it with Liberty Basic, perform the prodedures in Section III only. If you are upgrading MSA Software from Version 114 to Version 115, and will use it as an Executable (no Liberty Basic), perform the prodedures in Section IV only. I. Initial installation of MSA Software for Liberty Basic A. Changes to your Computer folders. 1. If not already installed, install Liberty Basic 4.03 with its location at: C:\Program Files\Liberty BASIC v4.03 2. Perform a "search" of your computer and locate copies of "ntport.dll" and "zntport.sys". It is possible that they exist in System folders of your computer. They are not compatable for the MSA Software. They will be replaced with new versions. a. Either delete "ntport.dll" and "zntport.sys" or change their names so as not to confuse the MSA Software. Example "ntportold.dll" and "zntportold.sys". b. If you have someone else's program that uses "ntport.dll" and "zntport.sys", you should rename, rather than delete the ntport and zntport in your system folders, just in case you need to revert to the prior one to use with your other program. Example "ntportold.dll" and "zntportold.sys". c. As a certainty, there will be a folder within Liberty Basic containing them: C:\Program Files\Liberty BASIC v4.03/ntport. It will install Ntport.dll into the proper directory for your computer. It will also install Zntport.sys into the proper directory for your computer. These new files are "backward" compatable for other programs. c. You may now delete the folders and their contents, "Redist" and "Redist.zip" from your desktop. They are no longer needed. B.
